Flexibility Of Being Able To Work From Home
To be able to work from home could change your life, imagine having the flexibility to work from home and slow things down in this fast paced world that we live in.
Imagine working from home, no travelling to and from the office, no more public transport crammed into a carriage or a bus where there is standing room only, waiting in the rain or blazing sun for a bus, tram or train that is running late, watching your time tick away, feeling stressed and on edge even before you get to work.
To be there for your children when they go to school and arrive home in the afternoon, is this a dream? It is a reality when you work from home. You can be there to see them off to school, be there to participate in their school activities and after school activities. You can be there to greet them when they return home, be there for family meal times, no more rushing in the door, getting dinner ready, bathing the kids, tucking them into bed and feeling as though you have missed the past years of their lives as you realise how much they have grown, where have you been? Travelling to and from work, working overtime, juggling 2 jobs, long hours in the office, that’s where. This can potentially add hours onto your already long day when you have to travel to and from work, this can add up over a week and a year. Imagine if you could work from home, imagine how much time you could save and spend with your children, you can be there every step of the way if you work from home.
The kids are feeling unwell and you need to be there to care for them. How do you manage when you need to take time off to care for them as they can’t go to school, what about care for them in the holidays, can you get your leave every holidays? Most of us can’t and for most of us it is a never ending issue, you need to work and you also need to care for your family. How do you manage both? You work from home that’s how. When you work from home, you can be the carer of your family and the income earner both at the same time.
I can speak from experience when I say that most of us spend the 1st day of our weekend catching up on household jobs such as washing and cleaning. We are away from home at work during the week and then spend the 1st day we have off work doing the housework. If you were able to work from home, you could fit your housework in around your work and actually have quality time with the family on your weekend.
When you work from home, no one will notice if you haven’t put your make-up on or done your hair unless you are on a video conference that is. Be aware of what types of activities you will need to do each day and remember that you are still working. When you work from home, it can be easy to forget that you haven’t dressed for the office
I can remember sitting in a dim lit office and catching a glimpse of the blue sky outside and wishing that I could take my computer and work outside, work in the park or at the beach, anywhere but stuck inside. That is a thing of the past now that I work from home, I can just pick up my laptop and phone and work wherever I choose.
To work from home is cost effective. Think of how much money you could save on public transport, fuel, buying lunch, parking fees, dry cleaning & business attire.
