Want To Make Extra Cash Online-Start With a Blog

Want to run a blog and earn some extra money online? While this is possible (millions of others are doing it as you read this) you shouldn’t expect it to happen overnight, or without a concerted effort on your part.

Just starting out on your Internet Marketing career? I would suggest you set-up your very own Blogger blog, why? Because they are free (always good) and are very easy to add content and monetize.

A hosted Wordpress.org blog is widely felt to be the best way to gain respect and credibility for your blogging, but if the $10.00 or so a month is beyond your reach one of the free blogging platforms is the way to go.

Regardless of which platform you decide to use, the best way to start (I think) is to choose a niche (the subject of your blog) that you have some interest in, or better yet are passionate about. This will make writing content (the hardest part for me) for your new blog much easier. Think about it, if you know your subject matter well you don’t have to do much research (if any), you will be able to just write, and that my friend will make your blogging sooo much easier!

Also in the first stages of choosing your niche you should try to get into your future visitors heads and figure out just what it is you’ll be able to sell to them. You want to make money right? Then as an Internet Marketer and blogger this should be your ultimate goal (and deserves a good deal of thought.)

There are more than a few ways to make money online, but I feel running a successful blog to be one of the best. Why? Because it gets you writing a lot of content (which you need to get good at) and gets your name out there (as an expert in your niche hopefully!)

Choose a niche you have a passion for and your visitors will see this and those that share your passion will become regulars at your blog-part of your online community. Then you work within this community to build relationships, perhaps partnerships, or joint venture opportunities, or at least sell them that “thing” they want and/or need.

Try to enjoy your blogging, (remember, it doesn’t have to always be about money!) Who knows, you might find you’ll want to start another blog, and another and, well this could be the start of something big!
